Iranian-backed militias attack SDF posts in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Militants of Iranian-backed militias launched on Saturday night an attack on posts held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
Local sources said that the offensive involved militants from the National Defense Forces (NDF), a militia affiliated with the Syrian government forces, and the Iranian-backed so-called Tribal Forces militia.
The assault targeted key SDF sites in the villages of Daranj and Diban, situated on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
The sources added the attacks also targeted a water station in Daranj.
The attack lasted approximately two hours, resulting in material damage but no reported human casualties.
