SDF operation wounds 4 Turkish soldiers in Syria’s Hasakah

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated on Saturday that four Turkish soldiers were injured in an attack on their base in the countryside of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.

The SDF said in a statement that their forces targeted on Friday a Turkish base in the village of al-Aziziya in the countryside of Tel Tamr, which is under Turkish occupation and the control of Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The operation resulted in direct injuries to four Turkish soldiers and the destruction of one military vehicle, according to the statement.

On Friday, the SDF also conducted two military operations against bases of Turkish forces and SNA factions in the villages of Aniq al-Hawa and Bab al-Faraj in the countryside of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), northwest of Hasakah.

The SDF added that several Turkish soldiers and SNA militants were killed and injured.

The operations came in response to Turkish airstrikes on north and northeastern Syria, the SDF noted.

Since early Oct. 24, Turkey has conducted extensive airstrikes targeting oil facilities, essential infrastructure, and vast areas across north and northeastern Syria, killing 14 people and injuring 40 others, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) stated.
