308 displaced families leave Syria’s Idlib camps to return to areas of origin
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A convoy carrying about 308 displaced families left camps in Idlib countryside on Thursday to return to their areas of origin in several Syrian governorates.
Idlib’s Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate said through its official channels that the convoy departed under the supervision of the Idlib Governorate and the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
The directorate said its teams, in cooperation with the participating organizations, secured the convoy and provided healthcare services to those leaving to ensure their safety during the journey.
The directorate added that the convoy’s return was part of ongoing efforts to support residents returning to their areas and promote stability in local communities.
