Syria’s Aleppo Anti-Narcotics Branch seizes captagon pills
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Aleppo’s Anti-Narcotics Branch arrested two people accused of trafficking and promoting drugs and seized quantities of narcotics in their possession, it said on Thursday.
On Aug. 13, the Anti-Narcotics Administration said it had seized large quantities of drugs and arrested two people accused of possessing them following a security operation in Aleppo’s al-Suryan neighborhood.
The administration said through its official accounts that the operation followed an ambush based on extensive monitoring and tracking of the suspects’ movements in al-Zahraa neighborhood.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 82 kilograms of Captagon pills, equivalent to about 482,000 pills, according to the administration.
It added that the two suspects confessed to the charges against them and were referred to the competent judiciary for legal proceedings.
