SDF’s Abdi condemns Turkish bombardment on NE Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Mazloum Abdi, commander in chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), condemned on Thursday recent Turkish bombardments of Northeast Syria describing them as “indiscriminate and unjustified.”

Abdi said, via his official X, that the strikes targeted civilian, service, and health centers, constituting a war crime.

He reiterated willingness to engage in dialogue to resolve ongoing tensions.

However, Abdi emphasized that the SDF remains prepared to defend the local population and their territory against any further aggression.

This statement comes in the wake of intensified Turkish bombardment in Northeast Syria region, raising concerns about the humanitarian impact on civilians.
