Member of Turkish-backed local council killed in Syria’s Jarablus

JARABLUS, Syria (North Press) – A militant of the Turkish-backed Military Police killed on Tuesday a member of a local council established by Turkey in the countryside of Aleppo, northwestern Syria.

A source told North Press that a dispute occurred between a militant of the Military Police and guards at the border crossing in the city of Jarablus in the east of Aleppo, which led the militant to directly shoot the guards.

The shooting resulted in the killing of a member of the Jarablus local council who had returned from Turkey, and the injury of an employee at the border crossing with severe wounds and another unidentified individual.

The injured employee was taken to the hospital in the city.
