ISIS claims responsibility for 3 attacks in Syria, Iraq
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) group claimed on Tuesday responsibility for two attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria, and another against the Iraqi army.
The ISIS-run Amaq news agency said in a statement ISIS militants targeted with machine guns a group of SDF fighters in a post in the village of Burayha in the east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, claiming the attack resulted in several casualties.
In another statement, the agency said that ISIS militants targeted an SDF post near the town of Shuhail in the east of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the injury of an SDF fighter.
The SDF is yet to comment whether the attacks did occur or not.
An IED explosion planted by ISIS militants in the desert of Rawa in al-Anbar Governorate, western Iraq, resulted in the killing and injury of many militants of the Tribal Mobilization group affiliated with the Iraqi army, according to Amaq.
