ISIS claims 3 attacks against SDF, Asayish in eastern Syria
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State group (ISIS) claimed on Thursday three attacks against the military and security forces in the areas of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
Media outlets affiliated with ISIS said the group’s militants launched an attack against a post of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) in the town of Gharanij in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The attack resulted in the killing of a leader of the Asayish and the injury of another member.
In the village of Meheimideh, west of Deir ez-Zor, the group’s militants attacked a military vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) injuring a number of SDF fighters, according to ISIS’ media outlets.
Also, ISIS said that its militants shot to death a fighter of the SDF in the neighborhood of al-Mefti in the city of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
