Israeli Shelling Kills Livestock in Syria’s Quneitra Countryside
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Several livestock were killed on Sunday in Israeli artillery shelling targeting agricultural land in central Syria’s Quneitra countryside, according to North Press correspondent.
The Quneitra Governorate Media Directorate said Israeli forces stationed at the Hamidiyah military base fired a heavy artillery shell at farmland west of al-Mashaa’la village, while shelling also targeted the outskirts of Eastern Samadaniyah village.
The shelling directly hit grazing areas, killing several sheep that were in the area at the time. No shepherds were injured, the directorate said.
The incident comes amid continued Israeli military escalation in southern Syria. Israeli forces also shelled the outskirts of al-Rafid town with six artillery shells on Saturday.
