Defense ministry announces toll of ISIS attack on its forces in central Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Ministry of Defense revealed on Tuesday that eight soldiers of its forces were killed and 11 others were injured as a result of an IED attack on a military bus south of the city of Palmyra, central Syria.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense said on its Facebook account, “Eight soldiers and one civilian were killed, and13 others, including two civilians, were wounded in a terrorist attack with an explosive device on a military bus in Syrian al-Badyiah to the south of Palmyra.”
Earlier, the Syrian government forces were attacked by militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the desert of Palmyra, in central Syria.
A military source told North Press that the deceased soldiers and officers are Milad Ibrahim al-Suleiman, Ali Mahmoud al-Ali, Sharif Sameeh al-Fleih, Basal Ahmad Ata’i, Hilal Issa al-Hassan, Rahmon Habib Shatouri, Saad Nizar Hassoun, Ahmad Muhammad al-Khaled, and Tamer Khaled al-Naif.
