Turkish forces target Syria’s Ain Issa killing 2 children
AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled, on Monday, the countryside of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria, killing two children.
The Turkish forces have shelled the village of al-Mastura, northwest of the town of Ain Issa, killing Nadia al-Ayyash, eight years old; and Ali al-Ayyash, six years old, according to a resident of Ain Issa.
The source told North Press that the artillery shelling targeted populated villages along the contact line in the countryside of Ain Issa.
Since the early hours of Oct. 5 and until Monday, 172 sites in areas and cities in north and northeast Syria have been stuck by Turkish airstrikes, shells, and drone attacks, targeting residential areas, military posts and infrastructure, including oil fields, gas plants, power stations, and others, according to the Monitoring and Documentation Department of North Press.
