Turkish authorities deport 350 Syrians to Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish authorities deported, on Sunday, 350 Syrian refugees to Idlib, northwestern Syria, coinciding with the military escalation and the wave of displacement witnessed in the northwest Syria.
“Turkish authorities deported 350 Syrians via Bab al-Hawa border crossing north of Idlib, at the time when the region is witnessing an unprecedented military escalation by the Syrian government forces amid a wave of residents’ displacement towards the Turkish border”, an official from the Bab al-Hawa crossing told North Press.
The official added that deportation operations were extensive during the past two days via the border crossings of Tel Abyad and Bab al-Salama.
Since Oct. 5, cities, town and villages in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo governorates have been witnessing intense government shelling following an attack on a Military Academy in Homs, which the government accused “terrorist organizations” in Idlib of being behind.
