IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish factory owner fatally shot on Saturday a Syrian refugee in the province of Konya, central Turkey.
Ammar Ibrahim Taboush, 22, died after the owner of the factory in which he worked in Konya shot him in the head for demanding his monthly salary, people close to Taboush said.
Taboush hails from the village of al-Hader in the southern countryside of Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria. He left Syria three years ago to work in Turkey.
In late July, a Syrian refugee from Aleppo was also killed by a group of young men in the Turkish province of Izmir.
Lately, racist attacks increased against Syrian refugees in Turkish territories, especially in Istanbul and Izmir. This came in tandem with recent deportation operations carried out by Turkish authorities against Syrian refugees residing in Turkey.
