SNA leader arrested, member killed in Raqqa’s Tel Abyad
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a member of a Turkish-backed faction of the Syrian National Army (SNA) was killed, and an SNA leader was arrested during a raid carried out by the SNA’s Military Police on his headquarters in the city of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa.
A source told North Press that members of the Military Police, backed by Turkish intelligence, raided at dawn on Monday the headquarters of a brigade of the SNA’s Levant Front faction.
The Military Police arrested the brigade’s leader, Hussein Abu Ali al-Ageidi, after killing his security guard Shihab al-Nuaimi.
He added that the raid, which included three headquarters of different SNA factions, was carried out under the supervision of Turkish intelligence under the pretext of searching for drug dealers.
