Turkey deports 130 Syrian refugees to Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Turkish authorities deported 130 Syrian refugees, including women, to areas in Idlib, northwestern Syria, via Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

The number of deportees through this gate during the current month has exceeded 1,100 so far. Turkish authorities took the eye and hand prints of the deportees and all their identification papers to prevent their return to Turkey, despite their years of residence in the country.

Since the beginning of July, Turkey has launched a deportation campaign against Syrian refugees residing in its territory, especially in Istanbul, deporting more than a 1,000 people so far via different border crossings.

On Tuesday, Turkey deported 90 people from the Tel Abyad border crossing with Turkey, north of Raqqa in northern Syria.
