Aleppo International Airport resumes navigation
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Ministry of transportation of Syrian government announced on Thursday resuming flights in Aleppo International Airport, northern Syria, starting from Friday morning.
On March 22, an Israeli airstrike targeted Aleppo International Airport, causing material damage, in a second attack this month, as on March 7, another Israeli airstrike put the airport out of service for several days.
The ministry said, in a statement, that the material damage was restored.
The ministry called on airlines operating on the airport to re-program their flights, indicating that the airport is ready to receive planes carrying aid for earthquake-affected people.
