Violations against original civilians in Syria’s Afrin “systematic” – NGO
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Violations and crimes committed against original civilians in Afrin region, northwest Syria, are systematic, Middle East Advisor at Society for Threatened Peoples (STP), Kamal Sido, told North Press on Wednesday.
Claims of arresting the criminals that carried out the crime of killing four people in the town of Jindires, northwest Syria, is “a futile attempt” by Turkey, Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), and Kurdish National Council, Sido said.
On March 20, Ahrar al-Sharqiya, a faction affiliated with the SNA, killed four Kurds and injured others in Jindires while celebrating Newroz festivals.
Sido clarified that these violations are committed according to a plan prepared by the Turkish government and its mercenaries to eliminate the Kurdish existence in Afrin and implement demographic change in the region.
Liberation and Construction Movement (LCM), affiliated with the SNA, announced a day earlier arresting three individuals convicted of killing the four Kurdish victims in Jindires and hand them over to Military Police of the SNA.
The LCM posted a film showing the convicted individuals, Omar al-Asmar, 23; Habib Khalaf, 19; and Bilal al-Aboud, 23.
Syrian Interim Government of the SNA posted photos for the convicted individuals and claimed that it will strictly punish criminals and those who commit violations against innocent people.
The SNA factions controlling Afrin and Security facilities affiliated with Opposition Syrian National Coalition try to claim that the massacre is a violation that is committed by its individuals.
Media outlet affiliated with the aforementioned parties try to distract the international community, claiming that such violations that have been dominating the scene for five years are committed by individuals not their own factions.
Sido called on the Kurds in Afrin to maintain fighting Turkish occupation, as well as, to demand that SNA factions and Turkish occupation expel from Afrin.
In addition, he called for the return of Autonomous Administration in Syria.
