Young man killed in armed attack in Qamishli city
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A young man was killed on Monday in an armed attack by unidentified gunmen in Qanat al-Suwais neighborhood in the eastern part of Qamishli city, northeast Syria.
A local source told North Press, “Two people riding a motorcycle shot dead 26-year-old Ayaz Ferhad at around 5:30 PM on the main street of Qanat al-Suwais, near the Judi gas station.”
The source said that “the reason behind the attack is believed to be an old blood feud.”
The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) and members of the Organized Crime rushed to the scene and started investigating the incident, but no results have been announced yet, the source added.
Recently, such incidents have increased in the cities of Qamishli and Hasakah, most of them are because of tribal disputes and blood feud.
