DAMSCUAS, Syria (North Press) – Informed sources told North Press on Monday that the first European flight in 11 years will arrive at Damascus International Airport this Thursday, March 9.
The sources said that flights to Europe would resume, two per week, and that the company which would reach Damascus International Airport is Air Mediterranean.
The company will have four flights per week – on Thursday and Monday, from Athens to Damascus, and on Friday and Tuesday, from Damascus to Athens.
In July 2022, the European Union decided to remove the private Syrian airline, Cham Wings, from the list of companies subject to sanctions after adding it to the list in 2021.
