Syria’s Humanitarian Issues Should be Addressed – Saudi FM

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud said in a forum on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2023, “The issue of Syrian refugees abroad and the humanitarian one at home should be addressed.”

The Saudi diplomat said there is unanimity all over the world that the current situation in Syria should not continue.

In the same relation, Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik reported the Saudi top diplomat may pay a visit to Damascus soon.

Relations between Damascus and Riyadh reached zero levels in the aftermath of  the crisis that swept Syria in 2011 owing to the position undertaken by the Saudis in supporting the Syrian opposition against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
