Hospital in Damascus receives about 1.000 cancer cases monthly
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The rate of new cancer cases has reached about 1.000 per month, Ihab al-Nakri, an official in al-Biruni University Hospital in the Syrian capital of Damascus, said on Wednesday.
Al-Nakri told the pro-government al-Watan newspaper that the hospital received 10.300 cancer cases last year.
The cases rate is “normal”, he added, as in 2011, the hospital received 12.000 cases.
