Unknown gunmen shoot media activist to death in Aleppo countryside
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, unidentified gunmen shot a media activist and his wife to death in the city of al-Bab in Aleppo eastern countryside, northern Syria.
The activist, Muhammad Abdullatif, nicknamed Abu Ghannoum, was working with Harakat Ahrar al-Sham Islamiyya faction, an exclusive source told North Press.
Abu Ghannoum and his wife were killed by unknown gunmen near the automatic bakery in al-Bab, the source said.
Since 2017, the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo has been under the control of the Turkish-backed opposition factions.
Areas controlled by the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions witness, from time to time, offences against civilians amid inaction by institutions of the opposition Syrian Interim Government to stand up to such factions.
