Five killed, 63 injured in heavy storms hit Turkey

ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – The Turkish Ministry of Health announced, yesterday, that the storm hit the Marmara region in the northwest of the country in the last two days killed five people and injured 63 others.

Video on the social media accounts showed uprooting trees, flying roofs, and collapsing minarets and clock towers in the cities of Izmir, Istanbul and Bursa, as the speed of the wind reached more than 130 km/h.

The heavy storm caused severe material damage to the public and private sectors.
