Government forces enter third town in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the government forces, accompanied by the Russian Military Police and members of the Central Committee, entered Tafas town, in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria.

This agreement came after the entry of the government forces into the towns of al-Yadouda and Muzayrib in the western countryside of Daraa where the situation of dozens of citizens were settled with many of them handing over a number of light weapons.

“The government forces established a settlement center to settle the conditions of several residents and hand over a number of light weapons at Tafas Girls High School,” a local source told North Press.

“The government forces are scheduled to be positioned at three military checkpoints inside Tafas town,” the source added.

The source pointed out that the government forces will search some neighborhoods of the town with the presence of the Russian Military Police and members of the Central Committee.

On September 12, the Central Committee in the western countryside of Daraa and the security committee of the government forces reached an agreement sponsored by Russia for the entry of the government forces to al-Yadouda town and the settlement of dozens of the wanted people.
