Several wounded in Russian raids in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Several people, including children, were wounded on Tuesday in Russian airstrikes on an area that includes several IDP camps the northern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria.
Military sources told North Press that Russian warplanes targeted the vicinity of al-Tah camp and Maryam camp near the city of Ma’arat Misrin, north of Idlib.
Six civilians, most of them children, were wounded, and they were taken to medical points in the city of Ma’arat Misrin, north of Idlib, the sources added.
At the same time, Russian warplanes launched several air raids on the outskirts of the towns of Kafriya and Batnata and east of Idlib city using high-explosive missiles, according to the same sources.
This morning, a woman was wounded by Syrian government artillery and missile shelling on residential areas in the village of al-Kafir in the Jisr al-Shughur area, west of Idlib governorate, as part of the military escalation that the area has been witnessing for months.
