Turkey bombs medical center in Iraq’s Shengal (Sinjar)
ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Tuesday, Turkish warplanes bombed a medical center south of Shengal (Sinjar) in the Iraqi governorate of Nineveh, leaving an unknown number of dead and wounded.
“The targeted medical center is located near the village of al-Sakinah, south of Shengal (Sinjar),” a media source in the area told North Press.
“The attack resulted in a number of dead and wounded,” the source added.
Some other civilians were subjected to the Turkish bombardment while going to the place of the incident in order to hospitalize the wounded, but no new injuries have been confirmed.
The bombing came less than 24 hours after an air attack by Turkish planes targeted a car in the center of the city of Shengal, killing the leader of the Yezidi Units, Sa’eed Hassan, and one of his companions, and wounding three others.
