Iraqi court sentences 13 ISIS members to death
ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Thursday, an Iraqi court sentenced to death 13 people accused of being affiliated with ISIS. The convicted terrorists had confessed their intention to carry out terrorist operations during Ramadan in 2019.
A statement of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, seen by North Press, stated that “Al-Karkh Criminal Court issued a death sentence in accordance with articles in the Anti-Terrorism Law of 2005 against 13 convicts of the crime of belonging to ISIS.”
“The terrorists admitted that they had planned to conduct terrorist operations during Ramadan in 2019,” the statement added.
