Regional attempts to stifle Autonomous Administration, float regime: Syrian politician
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – There are regional attempts that are paid to foil the project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and to restore the Syrian government regionally and internationally, a Syrian politician said on Wednesday.
Regional parties in particular, are trying to “stifle the AANES,” Public Relations member of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Ali Rahmoun, said.
Meanwhile, meetings were held in Jordan where the issue of how the Syrian government restore itself in exchange for agreeing on some issues related to the solution in Syria, were discussed, according to positions of those countries, Rahmoun added.
“AANES has become a real alternative for Syrian government on batches of Syrian territory in a time, when Damascus and Moscow refuse having any other alternative for the Syrian government,” he noted.
In late May, Damascus announced that the current Syrian President Bashar al-Assad won a fourth term presidency after holding elections that have been met with broad-scale local and international objections.
Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia ,Yury Borisov, said, al-Assad’s recent presidential victory “is a strong message to Syrian government’s enemies and opponents,” and that they have to accept “Syrian people’s choice that strongly and keenly supported president al-Assad.”
