Iraqi forces arrest prominent ISIS member

ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate announced, on Wednesday, the arrest of an official of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Ramadi, Anbar Governorate, who contributed to the transfer of ISIS members to Syria. 

His arrest came in a military operation that was based on accurate intelligence information of the Military Intelligence Directorate. the directorate said in a statement.

The information reported his return. He is considered a dangerous terrorist from a neighboring country.

The operative was responsible for introducing the tire bombs into Anbar and Baghdad. He was transferring the families of ISIS members to Syria in cooperation with his brother, and he also held the position of Hesba official before the liberation (the defeat of ISIS).

The directorate indicated that, after his return, they traced his tracks and accurately located him; then they raided his whereabouts in Ramadi market area, after setting up a tight ambush and arresting him.

The directorate described him as one of the most wanted persons by the judiciary according to an arrest warrant in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of terrorism.
