High school certificate final exams start in Syrian government-held areas
Damascus, Syria (North Press) – OnMonday,the final exams of high school certificate in the Syrian government-held areas started.
The number of students to sit for the exams exceeded 250,000, distributed in 2,254 centers, according to government official agency SANA.
This year, the Ministry of Education adopted a new procedure to deliver the questions to all government-held areas through a new protocol sponsored by the Ministry of Communications.
The questions are sent encrypted through secure Internet channels, where the exam center cannot open them or print them before a specific time before the start of the exam, according to the Ministry.
Yesterday, the final exams of the preparatory school certificate in the Syrian government-held areas started, with the participation of 316,000 students.
In Deir ez-Zor, the Military Police of the Syrian government forces arrested dozens of students before they sat for exams, in the vicinity of the town of al-Tebni in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in order to force them to conscription.
