Bombardment believed to be Israeli on Syria’s Quneitra

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the city of Quneitra in southern Syria, was subjected to air strikes believed to be Israeli.

There was no military statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Defense, while SANA only published news of the bombing of the town by a helicopter from Israeli territory.

The pro-government SANA news agency quoted its correspondent saying, after midnight, an Israeli helicopter attacked the town of Jubata al-Khashab in Quneitra countryside, without reporting any casualties.

Yesterday, a civilian was killed and six others were wounded, including a child and his mother, in a missile strike, believed to be Israeli, on the town of al-Heffah, 27 km from the city of Latakia, and Mesyaf in the countryside of Hama.

During the past ten years, Syria has been subjected to numerous Israeli strikes, which Israel says is targeting forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and is preventing the arrival of specific weapons to the Lebanese Hezbollah.
