Syria’s AANES determines age required for 2021 self-defense duty

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, The co-presidency of the Defense Office in Northeast Syria issued a circular specifying the ages required for the duty of self-defense for the people of northeast Syria for the year 2021.

According to the circular, the wanted people are those born between 1/1/1990 and 4/30/2003.

The co-presidency of the Defense Office called on all those wanted to serve the duty of self-defense to go to the recruitment centers to receive the service book and to settle their status in accordance with the law of the duty of self-defense.

On January 22, 2020, the co-presidency of the Defense Office in the Jezira region set the wanted age for the duty of self-defense for those born on January 1, 1990 instead of 1986.
