IED explosion leaves civilian wounded in Syria’s east Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Civilians were wounded as a result of an IED explosion that targeted a civilian bus in the town of Shuhail, east Deir ez-Zor, Syria, on Saturday.

The IED was planted under an electricity pole near al-Atal Roundabout and exploded while the bus was passing, a local source from Shuhail told North Press.

The source added that the bus was damaged and the passengers were lightly wounded and transferred to a hospital in Shuhail town.

The eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside has been witnessing assassinations carried out against military and civil individuals, therefore Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) intensify their military campaign in the area.

On April 20, a civilian lost his life after being shot by unknown individuals in the town of Theban, east Deir ez-Zor.
