Dozens of ISIS members killed in Iraqi Hamrin Hills

ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) in Iraq announced the killing of 60 ISIS militants during an air raid by the Iraqi forces in Hamrin hills in the central of the country.

A statement by the CTS, seen by North Press, said that an Iraqi security operation in the Hamrin hills resulted in the killing of 60 ISIS members, in “high coordination between the CTS and the Iraqi Air Force.”

The operation targeted the escapees from the “Eager Lion” operation in Qarajokh hills in Makhmur, southeastern Mosul, in March, according to the statement.

At that time, the operation resulted in the destruction of 120 caves and guesthouses, and the killing of 27 ISIS members, after which some of the ISIS members fled towards Hamrin hills, according to a previous statement by the CTS.
