Iraqi and Syrian refugees shot to death in Syria’s Hawl camp

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Two Iraqi refugees and a Syrian IDP were killed on Tuesday in the second part of Hawl camp, east of Hasakah in the northeastern Syria.

“Unknown persons infiltrated into the tents of the victims on Tuesday dawn and killed them with a silencer,” Hamrin al-Hassan an administrative in the camp, told North Press.

“The victims are an Iraqi couple and a Syrian IDP,” she added.

ISIS is finger-pointed of being behind the crime, according to al-Hassan.

After the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the bodies of the killed persons, they cordoned off the place and started investigating the incident.

On January 3, a 17-year-old Iraqi girl was shot to death by unknown individuals.

Last year, Hawl Camp witnessed several cases of murders of Iraqi refugees with silenced pistols.

Hawl Camp is home to over 60,000 displaced persons, including about 40,000 people from ISIS families.
