SDF arrests 22 ISIS suspects in Syria’s Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – TheSyrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested 22 ISIS members during two raids in both Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor on Monday.
SDF Special Forces carried out two security raids in both the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside and southern Hasakah, the SDF Military Operations and Coordination Center announced Monday.
Meanwhile, 22 ISIS members were arrested and the weapons and military equipment they had were confiscated during the raids, the Center confirmed.
15 ISIS militants were arrested during the Hasakah raid, and seven members during the Deir ez-Zor raid, according to the Center.
The two raids took place with the support of the Global Coalition, whose aircraft provided air support.
Additionally, two ISIS members were arrested during a security operation the SDF carried out in Deir ez-Zor, the SDF announced last week.
