Turkey continuous violations responded by suspicious silence of the judicial authority – Syrian activist

A member of al-Jazira Bar Association told North-Press, commenting on the massacre committed by the Turkish military and its affiliated Syrian armed opposition groups in Tal Rifat on Monday, that Turkey "has internationally gone beyond the crimes it has committed against humanity."

According to Mohamed Amin Naimi, this transgression has come, "because of Turkey's daily massacres against the people of north-eastern Syria, as these massacres are clear crimes against humanity," he said. He added that these practices "can refer Turkish officials to international courts,"  pointing out that international tribunals, including the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, Strasbourg and their prosecutors, "are still in a suspicious silence," he said.

The lawyer in al-Jazira Bar Association expressed his regret over the lack of integrity of the international judiciary. “If the international judiciary was impartial, it would have held Turkish officials accountable for the crimes committed and clearly defined,” he said.

Mr. Naimi concluded by expressing his hope that prosecutors in the international tribunals on cases committed by Turkey and "practices violating human rights and the international law" due to its recent military invasion in north-eastern Syria, will be approached.

The Turkish artillery shelling, on Monday, killed 10 civilians, including eight children, while 13 civilians were injured, most of them were IDPs from the region of Afrin, in the town of Tal Rifat, north of Aleppo.
