Pedersen marginalizes northern Syria Turkey extorts Russia, the U.S. Europe and the U.N. – Syrian opposition member

A Syrian opposition leader in the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change has confirmed that Turkey is extorting several international actors in the Syrian issue, and that the tasks of the Constitutional Committee may not be completed before the presidential elections with emphasis on the marginalization of northern  Syria by the Constitutional Committee.

Munzer Khaddam told North-Press that the United Nations Envoy Geir Pedersen, is subjected – as a U.N. Envoy – to international balances have interests, as he does not care much for non-internationally supported forces , in principle.

Politically, Pedersen cannot condemn Turkey or any international party that has a role or influence in the political process in Syria. According to Khaddam.

The Syrian opposition leader regrets that Russia and the United States are trying to "appease Turkey by facilitating the implementation of some of its policies in Syria,” because of what he described as "Turkey's important role in the Syrian crisis." He pointed out that "the Turkish occupation of Afrin was in collusion with Russia," adding that Turkey today "invades and occupies Raqqa northern countryside, with the U.S.-Russian complicity." He continue: "Turkey extorts Russia and the U.S. with each other, extorts the European Union with refugees, as it extorts the United Nations with the Constitutional Committee.”

“It is understandable that Pedersen neglects forces inside Syria, especially in north-eastern Syria, because of Turkey's objection," he added.

The Syrian opposition reduces the possibility of completing the tasks of the Constitutional Committee before 2021, by saying:  "As for the Constitutional Committee, I do not expect to complete its works before the presidential elections in 2021.”
