Pedersen s exclusionary attitude serves the Turkish agenda deepens the Syrian crisis – Autonomous Administration Senior Official

Bedran Jiya-Kurd, a senior official in the Autonomous Administration of North-eastern Syria, has considered that the approach of the United Nations Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen, serves the Turkish policies, which aim at ruining the Autonomous Administration's project and use the Syrian opposition parties as a tool to implement the Turkish agenda. The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria was absent from the upcoming Syrian constitutional committee, despite its control over large areas in the north and north-eastern Syria, nevertheless, the Administration was not invited to participate in any of the talks on Syria in Geneva nor Astana, at the request of Turkey via its affiliated Syrian opposition.

"There is an agreed agenda among the concerned countries with the Syrian crisis," Bedran Jiya-Kurd, an official in the Autonomous Administration said in an interview with North-Press, adding that "excluding the Autonomous Administration from the constitutional committee came to satisfy Turkey and the Ikhwanist (Muslim Brotherhood) groups that constitute the fundamental base of extremism."
According to Mr. Jiya-Kurd, Turkey's main objective in Syria is "to ruin the project of Autonomous Administration, thus, unfair and biased political consensus of the main parties to the conflict, which is Turkey, are imposed on the United Nations and its special envoy, Geir Pedersen," he added.

Getting rid of the Syrian opposition
Bedran Jiya-Kurd said that Turkey is trying to dump the Syrian opposition, noting that what had been lost in the south, north and in center of Syria "was mediated by Turkey through deals with the Russian and Iranian sides within the framework of Astana's ill-fated understandings.” He considered the formation of the Constitutional Committee under these regional and international circumstances is "an evasive process of political solution, until getting rid of the remaining armed groups affiliated with Turkey, as well as political blocs under the banner of Turkish policies.”
Mr. Jiya-Kurd said that the opposition has no "decision and will", and that it has become a "tool for the implementation of the Turkish projects.”

Legitimization
The official in the Autonomous Administration told North-Press that the "approach" of the U.N. special envoy to Syria was "in support of those policies that do not serve the solution, but rather complicate and deepen the bloodiest conflicts." Mr. Jiya-Kurd considered the recent Turkish military attacks on north-eastern Syria, reflect the U.N. agreement on the Turkish aggression against the Autonomous Administration. He criticized the U.N. attitude regarding the Turkish military invasion in areas of north-eastern Syria, and said that it "has not progressed towards the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the aggression, genocide and massacres committed systematically against the local peoples of the region."
"Erdogan has shown his plan of occupation, genocide and demographic change along the Syrian-Turkish border at the U.N. headquarters in New York. We haven't seen any reaction from a reputable international institution such as the United Nations and now this scheme is being implemented on the ground.” Bedran Jiya-Kurd said.
