Syrian Petroleum Company receives two major fuel shipments
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Petroleum Company announced on Monday that it had received two major fuel shipments, including a diesel tanker carrying 64,324 metric tons and a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker loaded with 5,620.3 metric tons.
In a statement, the company said its technical teams had begun connecting the two vessels and unloading their cargo into storage tanks at the Baniyas terminal after completing all required technical and safety procedures.
The company said the preparations included inspections, measurements, and engineering monitoring to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency during the unloading process.
Syria continues to face shortages of diesel and gasoline, particularly in the country’s eastern governorates, where limited supplies and rising prices have placed additional economic pressure on residents.
The latest shipments come as the authorities seek to strengthen fuel supplies amid continued demand for petroleum products across the country.
