Israeli forces detain resident in Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces detained a young man from al-Samdaniyah al-Gharbiyah village in the central countryside of Quneitra governorate, southern Syria, during a military incursion into the area on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli army shelled the outskirts of Tarnajah village in the northern countryside of Quneitra governorate with four artillery rounds.

A local source told North Press that the Israeli forces detained the resident during the incursion into al-Samdaniyah al-Gharbiyah. The source did not provide further details about the identity of the detainee or the reasons behind the arrest.

The detention follows continued Israeli military activity in parts of Quneitra governorate, including repeated incursions and shelling in areas near the occupied Golan Heights.
