Head of Syrian Agricultural Bank tours Hasakah branches ahead of reopening

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Director General of Syria’s Agricultural Cooperative Bank, Ahmad al-Zuhri, on Wednesday toured several bank branches in Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria, as preparations continue for their reopening.

Al-Zuhri, accompanied by an official delegation, visited the bank’s branches in Hasakah, Qamishli, Amuda, and Derik (al-Malikiyah).

According to information obtained by North Press, the delegation was joined by Hassan Sharo and Jian Saeed, officials responsible for the integration file within the Autonomous Administration.

The inspection tour is part of ongoing preparations to reopen the Agricultural Cooperative Bank’s branches in the four cities in the near future.

The planned reopening comes as part of the ongoing integration of Autonomous Administration institutions in northeast Syria into Syria’s state administration, in line with agreements reached between the two sides earlier this year.

On Tuesday, North Press also learned that a delegation from Syria’s Ministry of Finance is scheduled to visit Hasakah to discuss arrangements for reopening the ministry’s branches and directorates across Hasakah.
