DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Wednesday announced that it has concluded its latest round of military strikes against Iran, targeting dozens of military sites near the Strait of Hormuz and along the country’s southern coast.

In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said an additional wave of strikes was carried out on July 14, hitting dozens of military targets.

CENTCOM said “U.S. fighter aircraft, drones, and naval vessels launched precision munitions against Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, and coastal defense systems during the seven-hour wave to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews.”

The announcement comes a day after U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Washington would broaden its military campaign if Tehran fails to reach an agreement with the United States.

In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Trump said next week’s strikes could expand to include Iranian power stations and bridges unless Tehran returns to negotiations.

“Next week it gets really bad for them,” Trump said. “We’re going to knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”

Trump also revealed that U.S. officials held talks with Iran on Tuesday, saying Washington had urged Tehran to reach an agreement.

Trump added by saying that U.S. military operations against Iran will continue until he decides not to.
