CENTCOM launches new precision strikes on Iranian targets
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Monday announced that American forces carried out a new round of military strikes against targets inside Iran on Sunday, using precision-guided munitions to hit dozens of sites across multiple locations.
According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted “Iranian military air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats using U.S. fighter aircraft, naval vessels, one-way attack aerial drones, and one-way attack sea drones for the first time.”
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade. Iran does not control it,” CENTCOM said.
The latest operation marks another escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, following recent exchanges involving attacks on commercial shipping and military targets across the Gulf region.
