Syrian FM holds talks with Lebanese President in Beirut

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shaibani, on Thursday met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Beirut for talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing issues of mutual interest.

Syria’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, al-Shaibani held talks with President Aoun in the Lebanese capital.

According to the ministry, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations based on mutual respect and good neighborly ties, expanding economic cooperation between the two countries, and reviewing the latest regional and international developments of shared concern.

During his visit, al-Shaibani also met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut.
