Israeli forces advance into western Daraa countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces advanced on Sunday into the town of Maariya and the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa governorate, southern Syria, according to local sources.

Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces entered Jamla village without carrying out any raids, searches, or arrests during the incursion.

The sources added that the force also advanced toward the town of Maariya before reaching Abidin village and the Tal al-Maghar area in the western Daraa countryside.

According to the sources, the force consisted of four military vehicles that departed from al-Jazira military barracks and moved through Maariya toward Abidin village before continuing to Tal al-Maghar.

The latest movement comes amid repeated Israeli military incursions into areas of southern Syria following developments along the border region.
