Israel launches airstrikes in Iran after Iranian missile barrage
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli military on Monday carried out airstrikes on military targets in western and central Iran, hours after Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israeli targets in response to an attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs, according to Reuters.
In an interview with the Financial Times published on Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “won’t have any choice” but to accept any agreement reached between the United States and Iran.
“I call the shots. I call all the shots. He [Netanyahu] doesn’t call the shots.”
Earlier on Sunday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned Israel to halt its attacks on Lebanon, threatening that the Israeli military would face more severe and painful strikes if it expanded its operations or responded to Iranian actions.
The warning came shortly after the Israeli military announced that it had detected an attack launched from Iran.
The latest exchange marks a further escalation in tensions between the two regional rivals, following a series of threats and military actions that have heightened fears of a broader conflict.
