Israeli forces detain 2 men during raids in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Local sources on Wednesday told North Press that Israeli military patrols detained two individuals during separate incursions carried out earlier in the day in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.  

According to the sources, an Israeli patrol entered the Basali farms area in southern Quneitra countryside, where troops searched several homes before detaining a local young man and taking him to an undisclosed location.

At the same time, another Israeli force reportedly entered the Um al-Louqs farm area in Quneitra countryside and carried out a similar operation that ended with the detention of a second local resident.

The sources said no additional information has been released regarding the reasons for the arrests or the fate of the detainees.

Areas across Quneitra countryside have witnessed repeated incursions by Israeli forces in recent weeks, often involving house searches, raids, and arrests, fueling tension and concern among local residents.
