The ministry stated in a press release published on its official website that the tour is a continuation of the merger process of the internal security forces in the Kobani region of Aleppo Governorate into the Ministry of Interior.

“A delegation from the internal security leadership conducted a field tour accompanied by the Director of Internal Security for the Kobani region, which included the Internal Security Directorate building and a number of its police departments,” the statement said.

The ministry added that the tour included reviewing the reality of administrative and field work, and assessing the level of technical and human readiness to ensure the continued provision of services to citizens efficiently and regularly.

The Syrian Interior Ministry announced that the internal security leadership in Aleppo Governorate has officially taken over the Internal Security Directorate building in Kobani and has begun assuming its duties there.

It pointed out that an expanded meeting was held that included department officials from the Asayish, during which mechanisms for unifying organizational and administrative structures with the systems approved by the Ministry of Interior were discussed. The meeting also reviewed the plan to complete the merger process, which aims to enhance the unity of the security institution and establish the principle of institutional work, according to the statement.
