Israeli forces infiltrate village in Syria’s Quneitra, establish temporary post

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli military force infiltrated on Saturday the village of Bureika in the southern Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, entering from the entrance of the town of Bir Ajam and setting up a temporary checkpoint.

A local source told North Press that the infiltrating force consisted of eight military vehicles, four Toyota Hilux trucks and four Hummer armored vehicles. The force entered the village and spread out at several points near its outskirts.

The source added that four of the vehicles continued moving towards the old Bureika village, while the rest of the force set up the temporary checkpoint on the outskirts of the village. The force later withdrew towards a nearby Israeli military position.

This incursion comes amid repeated Israeli military movements in Quneitra countryside, which borders the separation line, occurring daily.
